HOW WE STARTED
The Seeing Hearts Foundation vision started informally in mid-February of 2022. This was a vision which Tope Songonuga, the Chief Executive of the Foundation, accidentally stumbled into through the informal philanthropic efforts of her mother. What began as an accident has since become an intentional vision to improve the lives of as many indigent visually-impaired individuals as possible to become financially, socially and digitally relevant in society.

Mission

Our mission is to enhance the well-being and independence of individuals with visual impairments. Through education and empowerment, practical and sustainable support mechanisms, awareness and advocacy programs, we strive to create an inclusive society where every person, regardless of visual ability, can thrive, achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Vision

The intersection of visual impairment and indigence can contribute to social exclusion, as individuals facing both challenges may encounter additional barriers to participation in various aspects of society.

The Seeing Hearts Foundation was founded on the premise that no person should be excluded from participating fully in the society.

Our vision is to create a world where visually-impaired persons are financially, socially, and digitally included. This vision is being manifested through the provision of practical support to the visually-impaired, to ensure that individuals with visual impairments have the financial resources they need to lead independent, fulfilling and dignified lives.

What We Aim For

Our Objectives

The Seeing Hearts Foundation vision encompasses a holistic and multi-faceted approach that encompasses five key pillars:
